Should the NBA let High school students play?

The controversy over high school students started in 1962 in the NBA draft. Reggie Harding was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the fourth round of the playoffs. He became one of the first basketball players to play in the NBA straight from High school. In the 1970s two more players followed the same path as Reggie Harding. There names were Darryl Dawkins and Bill Willoughby. Although Bill Willoughby wasn’t that great Darryl Dawkins was a phenomenal player. For almost two decades it really wasn’t a issue to let High scholars play in the NBA. Since 1995-2005 it has been a major issue for people who wanted to go straight to the NBA from High School (NBA High School Draftees, 1).
This topic interests me because basketball is my sport. It also gives me facts and knowledge I didn’t know about basketball. This topic for me omits all the other topics and pursue my attention and keeps me concentrated on the history of basketball.

When I was twelve years old I would always say I’m going to the NBA straight from High school. “My mom would always tell me to plan ahead on what you’re going to do in life and always have a plan A-Z have your priorities straightened out to make your dream happen.”- Michelle McCullough. I think she meant this.

In 2006 they stopped allowing H.S.S in the NBA. David Stern commissioner of the NBA made this rule “No More H.S.S. High School Students were not mature. The NBA made them mature and understand the game. The NBA is hard to survive in. It teaches you life lessons like sportsmanship, being a team player, it also teaches you how to be a leader. The NBA also teaches High scholars how to develop a grown up mentality. Some take basketball serious they will be the ones to accomplish there dream like Jeremy Tyler “ This what I do this will help me grow up.” (Basketball Prospect Leaving High School to Play in Europe,1)

Some stars that came straight from high school to the NBA were successful and got rich but didn’t really know what to do with there money so they either did drugs or bought guns and their career went down the drain.
Some stars went overseas to play basketball because they thought there would be any work skills or school, they also thought better chances of being scouted and that there was more freedom.

Heck No

CCCCC

I'm not sorry but I'm going to say Hell I mean heck """"""NO""""""
  1. It is Against my religion to do that and I will get penalized for it and if I do and I won't I will regret it.
  2. We've Only been Girlfriend and Boyfriend for 2 Months and I still don't trust you and I don't know if we break up you will black male me with it and use it as revenge and show all your little Girlfriends which will probably be good for me because maybe one of your friends will notice how cruel you are being and she will treat me better.
  3. You might tell people lies about me and cause everybody to say cruel or think cruel things about me even though I don't care about what people think about me I still don't want to be thought of as a prostitute or a stripper.
  4. It will probably change me and make me want to send it to every girl in the school which then will make me a prostitute because it will get addicting and I won't be able to stop sending.
  5. I will probably loose all my friends and I will probably get teased with cruel and foul language that I won't be able to take and I will have fights everyday getting jumped Physically and Mentally and I will starve myself because of lost of friends and appetite.

MJ Michael Jordan Not Michael Jackson

By over ruled vote, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. Although, a summary of his basketball career and influence on the game no one could avoid him, as a phenomenal athlete with a unique, soundness, grace, speed, power, athletic ability and an thirst for a competitive desire, Jordan by himself renamed the NBA superstar.
Even opposing superstars recognized the unknown position of Jordan. Magic Johnson said, "There's Michael Jordan and then there is the rest of us.”Larry Bird, following a playoff game where Jordan dropped 63 points on the Boston Celtics in just his second season, l was impressed as young as he is”. "God gifted him with a talent as Michael Jordan.
Michael Jordan makes the jump shot that catapults the Bulls over the Utah Jazz in the 1998 Finals.

• However, his success is far greater than awards and championships. He burst into the league as a rookie madness scoring in droves with an unmatchable first step and acrobatic drives and dunks and ended his career as a cultural Idol. Along the way, he became a true champion who lead the globalization of the NBA with his perseverance on court abilities and personal sense of style that was marketed to the charts.

Although Brooklyn born, Jordan was bred in the more protective North Carolina. The son of Delores and James Jordan, he shared a special bond with his father, which included baseball being both of their first love. However, following his older brother, Larry, who was Michael’s idol and was a spectacular athlete in his own right too, That’s when Jordan began to play basketball.

Lions, Tigers and Bears Oh yes..........

Jazmine Sullivan is my Female R&B idol she explains things so anyone and everyone could understand she took the theme of a movie, "The Wizard Of Oz" and she created a song which talked about how a man can be a idiot just to get a girls attention and how she is having switched relationships with a man and she thinks she loves him but sometimes she doesn't love him and she looked pretty in the video.

I live my life

In My young days when I was like 2yr old I will never forget this my father walked out on me. He would always argue with my mom and keep leaving and coming back. My mom would be getting abused until she couldn't take it no more she was a strong women and still is she fought back. He left one day and he came back trying to apologize but my mom didn't want him to disrupt our peace. One thing my mom didn't say is that he couldn't visit his four boys he took it upon himself to miss out on his children's growth and achievements now he visits every 10yrs and he still is the same way. But, I'm the lucky one I have a great step father who care about me and my brothers and my mom he explain to us from right to wrongs and he is a comedian he even taught me how to play piano and sing and he is visually impaired which means he is totally blind which is cool because I have a father/friend/family that can play instruments and he can't see.
My Step father and I are so close now I call him My father now and I even forget my old man back then I even call him my ancestor but now when I think about My old man I start to get lost in the pain and suffering my ancestor put me through and it get between my grades. I made a commitment that when I have a wife I will treat her with honor and respect and I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever put my hands on her.

Basketball

As I practice and practice nothing comes out
I sweat and sweat and nothing comes but my lungs get dried out
my eyes are burning from the sweat
my back and my neck are so very wet.

100 percent is what I give
basketball is my dream my soul my heart and what I live
when I loose I never give up
I always walk around happy and saying what's up.

2.8 seconds left and we are defending
I have the ball and they are depending
This is life that we are spending
As sweat and tears fall down from my face as it is blending.

I shake the other persons hand
And if basketball don't work I will always have a back up plan
But I'll always be a #1 fan
thank god for James Naismith he is the man.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Once upon a time there was a funny, short intelligent in the computers man who loved to come to work and didn't like the word hell came back and he saw that death was in the party. Mr I'm sorry Mr.Lahana I mean heck. One day he was teaching his classes when a guy popped up he said " I come for your soul and Mr.Lahana tried to run but it was to late Mr.lahana is all boring and sick now. Mr.Lahana then said " Can you please stop talking with a dull voice the student keeps talking he says it again and then the student becomes soundless". Then his most helpful student Manny noticed that he was sick and that he should rest so Manny sends him home and as soon as Lahana leaves Manny throws a party but Mr. lahana said " Manny that was so nice of you, you threw me a get well party". Manny said " Yeah lets go with that". Death walked quietly walked on Mr. Lahana and said " I'm sorry I got the wrong person I was looking for Angel Quintero I'm going to need Shurlock Homes. It was a happily ever after at least for Mr. Lahana but for Angel not so good.

Emmanuel McNeil's book report

Black No More

Reading the book “Black No More” Written by George S. Schuyler back into the time period of THE GREAT DEPRESSION in 1933 and Mr. Schuyler Past away forty-four years after it was processed and published. Black No More is a gift to all the children, young adults and adults that didn’t have a clue of how things were back when they were not even born or thought of it shows how you need to be a certain color for you to be cool in those days.

I like the detailed book “Black No More” because it was very clear and some parts were very exciting. This book showed readers how people were actually racist and how they want to fit in, For example in the book there was a guy named Max Disher who changed his skin color just to fit in the crowd to get complements and attention but truly he really lost his dignity from being a proud black man.

The best part of the book “Black No More” is how it’s true how most black people want to date a women that’s lighter than themselves that has the body on the outside but have a dishonorable or have a all I want is your money attitude, For example in the book Max Disher wanted a girlfriend that was lighter then himself.

I would recommend that people read “Black No More” because this can teach people that don’t know about black people history things that not only happened in the 1930’s during the Great Depression but this can show them things that our people have went through in slavery but it was worst during slavery.

I don’t recommend this book “Black No More” to people who suffer with immaturity or that really are against the word “Nigger” and that really can’t take the racism. This book is written in the mind set of people in the 1930’s so they have there own language, For example instead of saying what they say what they say whut or instead of saying “Nigger ” instead they use the term “Nigga” what I don’t understand is that why do black people use the word nigger on other blacks but when causations say it they want to fight?
The book “Black No More” has taught me that white people didn’t want to dance, with black persons because of their intellectual skin color. When Max Disher changed his skin color to get attention and so he can fit in the white territory he got more respect then he had ever gotten.

In conclusion What do you think about this racism that has and still is going on? Do you think if you change your skin color you would get more respect? What do you think about Max Disher? Why do black people use the word nigger on other blacks but when causations say it they want to fight? These are all questions no one has every answered and I think it is time for one now.

If I had powers to Change somethings

If I had the power to change things I would change the wars that people die everyday I would change the killing into peace in the world and I would change people going to jail that is not suppose to be there.
I would also change the decrease of the economy to a increase because people are loosing jobs because of budget cuts and that's what causes foreclosure and that means you have to be acquitted from your homes.
Another thing I would change is pot holes in the streets of the 5 boroughs there has been many accident because there were cars that have flipped over.

Classes

Some classes can be boring
and some can be fun.

Some classes you have to Express yourself to someone
Some classes you have to run.

If you are falling asleep that is not cool
you get a grade for great behavior and academics not just for coming to school.

Show your teachers your greatness
Watch out for your absences or latenesses

Don't get distracted or disrupted
Don't get your teachers erupted

Never get in fights
and try to be the student that lights
